John H Howe was Frank Lloyd Wright’s righthand draftsman during his most prolific period. Howe went on to work in the Wright style and become a great Architect in his own right. Howe designed many houses in Minnesota including this one in Rochester. We had the privilege of modernizing the baths and the kitchen with Tim Quigley. Given the historic nature of the home, we were called upon to seamlessly integrate the old and the new. We’re really proud of the fact that only Howe aficionados will be able to tell where the remodel starts and ends.
